Open your Rivian USB drive
Plug in the drive and select it. Rivian names the drive android when it formats it, so look for that name on any computer. You can also choose any folder that holds GearGuardVideo, RoadCam or IncidentCam footage.
Phones and tablets can't open a USB drive folder in the browser. Open overlookcam.app on a Mac or PC (Chrome or Edge work best) and plug the drive in there.
You can also drag a folder onto this window. Your footage plays right in your browser from the drive; we don't upload it to our servers.

How do I watch Rivian Gear Guard footage on a Mac or PC?
Plug the Rivian USB drive into your computer, open overlookcam.app in Chrome or Edge, click “Choose drive or folder” and select the drive. Rivian names it “android”. Overlook finds your Gear Guard, Incident Cam and RoadCam recordings and plays every camera in sync.
Is my footage uploaded anywhere?
No. Overlook reads the files straight from your drive and plays them in your browser. Your videos never leave your computer.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge and Arc work best and can reopen your drive next time. Safari and Firefox work through a folder-upload dialog that still stays on your computer. Phones and tablets can’t open a USB drive folder in the browser, so use a computer.
What does Overlook Pro add?

Does Overlook work offline?
Yes. After your first visit Overlook works without an internet connection, and you can install it as an app from your browser.
